Newsletter April-June 2026 Betini Education Scholarship

We are very pleased to share the news and progress of the 53 children in the Betini Education Scholarship Program.

This was an important quarter for the students, with final examinations completed, strong schoollevel results, six passing their Secondary Education Examination (SEE), and five young people completing Grade 12. Alongside regular school and home monitoring, young people also took part in peer education, extracurricular activities and a practical volunteering placement, while families continued strengthening their livelihoods.

Education materials provided to 28 students
17 of 19 school-level students passed final exams
6 students passed SEE
5 students completed Grade 12
5 diploma students sat exams and are awaiting results
23 youth participated in Peer Education training
Tshewang completed a volunteering placement
5 goats passed on to new families
Families earned NPR 243,500 (approx. AUD 2800) from goat and buffalo sales
